Psychologists are licensed to practice independently in the provision of psychological services, consulting with peers and supervisors as appropriate. They may be assigned to any VHA program and setting, such as inpatient or outpatient medicine, primary care, surgery, mental health, neurology, rehabilitation medicine, geriatrics, Compensation and Pension, Vet Centers, and the VHA National Center for Organization Development. If you ARE a Federal employee, please apply under CBST-11061870-21-DW Duties include but are not limited to: Provides a full range of psycho-diagnostic services including assessment and using the most appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques in providing quality care. Delivers patient care through Clinical Video Telecommunications (CVT) when appropriate. These services include Evidence Based Therapy, psychological assessment, individual and group psychotherapy, psycho-educational interventions, cognitive testing, and general mental health. Performs evaluations for all Veterans from all backgrounds and ages. Provides a full range of psychological services including: Evidence based psychotherapy and cognitive, intellectual, achievement and personality assessments. Consults with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues. Staff psychologists may be involved in program evaluation and/or research activities. Schedules outpatient clinic appointment using Veterans Health Information Systems and technology Architecture (Vista) scheduling options. Complies with the mandatory training requirements for the outpatient scheduling process. The incumbent will be able to assess and treat the full spectrum of mental health illness as assigned.
