Essential Administrative Program Manager Responsibilities Coordinate all aspects of the Workplace Violence Prevention Program for Ralph H Johnson VA Medical Center: Supervise the Chair, Disruptive Behavior Committee (DBC): appointed by Chief of Staff (COS) to lead a facility-based interdisciplinary body required by VHA Directive 2010-053. Oversee the day-to-day business of the committee, including approving the agenda, minutes, and follow-up actions for all decisions or business items at the [(bi)monthly] committee meeting. Provide quarterly reports to the Clinical Executive Board (CEB). Supervise the Chair, Employee Threat Assessment TEAM (ETAT); oversee the day-to-day business of the ETA T, including reviewing and approving behavioral threat assessments and follow up actions for all decisions or business items at the bi-monthly ETAT meeting. Oversees PMDB program and ensures program is meeting identified training needs for RHJ VAMC. Per VHA Directives, serves as Team Leader for the completion of the annual Workplace Behavioral Risk Assessment (WBRA). Collaborates with VA Police, Patient Safety Officer, and Labor Partners to complete annual WBRA. Serves as a Facility Administrator for the Disruptive Behavior Reporting System (DBRS), a secure web-based electronic data collection site of disruptive behavior occurring at the RHJ VAMC. Responsible for maintaining accurate access to necessary DBRS functions for relevant personnel and DBRS users. Manages events received to ensure they are reviewed and managed accordingly by DBC and/or ETAT. Review individualized, evidence-based, data-driven violence risk and behavioral threat assessments to ensure culture of safety at the RHJ VAMC. Communicate violence risk mitigation strategy recommendations and therapeutic limit-setting actions to the facility's COS, or his or her designee, in order to promote the delivery of safe and effective healthcare. Engage with the DBC in providing consultation to practitioners and staff working with patients who either demonstrate disruptive behaviors or who pose a significant risk of disruptive behavior with the primary goal ensuring that he/she continues to receive the full range of available health care while reducing the risk of disruptive or violent behavior to others. Coordinate quality improvement projects around disruptive behavior. Participate in monthly Disruptive Behavior Committee Community of Practice and Violence Risk Assessment conference calls provided by the National Workplace Violence Prevention Program. Responsible for the education, training, implementation of local and national policies, Directives, and Regulatory Requirements pertaining to disruptive behavior. Essential Clinical Responsibilities Knowledge of and ability to diagnose psychological and behavioral disorders with appropriate assessment techniques. This particular position requires training and competence in the assessment and management of common Post-Deployment concerns within the Post-911 Combat Veteran Population, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and associated conditions. Competence and advanced training in cognitive-behavioral interventions and/or Evidence-Based Psychotherapy (EBP). Competence and advanced training in forensic assessments, including evaluation and management of violence risk, is strongly preferred. Ability to develop a coherent assessment strategy to evaluate and recommend optimal. Adheres to operational policies and procedures for health care as directed by the Medical Center and Mental Health Service Line management Facilitates liaisons with other health care programs in order to effectively coordinate services. Complies with national and local performance measures, including timely health care screening and completion of clinical reminders for all patients. Complies with all CPRS documentation procedures, including timeliness standards for documentation and proper patient check out procedures (e.g., entering diagnostic and procedure codes). Attends and participates in administrative and informational meetings held by the Mental Health Service Line. Attends relevant Mental Health Service Line meetings and complies with quality review procedures. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 0800 am - 4:30pm Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
