Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor-SUD-VASH
The SUD VASH specialist for HUD-VASH provides community based, early treatment interventions, ongoing clinical substance use treatment and case management to Veterans with a substance use disorder and enrolled in the HUD-VASH program. The SUD-VASH specialist provides frequent and direct contacts with Veterans to support the goal of maintaining housing. Basic Requirements: Applicants must meet the requirements of the position by the closing date of the position.The basic requirements for employment as a LPMHC are prescribed by statute in 38 U.S.C. §7402(b)(11). To qualify for appointment as a LPMHC all applicants must: Citizenship. Be a citizen of the United States. (Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Handbook 5005,
