Your day.

As a Safety Attendant / Patient Sitter, you need to know how to:

• Observe patient behavior and maintains patient safety.


• Maintain an uninterrupted line of sight with the patient and assist the patient in completion of daily personal care.


• Report any and all activity outside of established parameters to the Nurse Manager, Professional Registered Nurse, or delegated Licensed Practical Nurse.


• Obtain report from the assigned nurse or from the current sitter. Remain with the patient until relieved for breaks, meals and shift change.


• Accompany patient to other departments when patient is scheduled for tests/treatments.


• Notify the patientâ™s assigned nurse of any change in patientâ™s mental status or condition immediately. Notify the nurse of any safety concerns.


• Orientate patient on use of call bell, bed controls, phone, lights and bathroom.

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required


• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within sixty (60) days of hire (with prior approval), required


• At least one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferred
