The Baylor Scott & White Medical Psychology Consultants have an immediate opening for a full-time licensed clinical psychologist to join our growing service. Based in a large, urban hospital in Dallas, TX that includes a Level I trauma center, our providers work as part of an interdisciplinary clinical team with exposure to a diverse patient population.
This position is primarily outpatient and will focus on providing psychotherapy and, if desired, pre-surgical evaluations (e.g., bariatric surgery, spinal cord stimulator, transplant). The Baylor Scott & White Medical Psychology Consultants clinic provides both general and specialized behavioral health treatment to a wide variety of patients, most of whom are referred from within the Baylor Scott & White hospital and clinic system, such as Oncology, Trauma, Transplant, and OB/GYN. The clinic also provides psychotherapy services for hospital providers, residents, and medical students. Patients are seen both in-person and via telehealth.
Candidates for this position must have experience in utilizing evidence-based therapies to treat a variety of diagnoses including depression, anxiety, adjustment, PTSD, insomnia, pain, and complications of medical comorbidities. This position may also provide cross-coverage as needed for inpatient behavioral health service line areas provided by Baylor Medical Psychology Consultants including trauma, critical care, OB/GYN, palliative care, internal medicine, and others. There are also opportunities for program development, supervision, and/or research activity.
Candidates for this position should have a doctorate in Clinical, Counseling, or Health Psychology from an APA-accredited program and be licensed or license-eligible in Texas. Board certification or qualification towards board certification status strongly desirable. Experience in medical, health, or rehabilitation psychology is preferred.
