The Behavioral Health Counselor under the direction of the R.N. is responsible and accountable for performing specific skills and duties which contribute to safe and effective patient care. Among these skills will be leading and co-leading groups

Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor�s degree in Psychology, Sociology or related discipline; or Associates degree with 2 years of relevant experience in an acute care setting; or 4 years of relevant experience in an acute care setting.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous experience as a Mental Health Counselor in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.

PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Active B.L.S.
